Breaking Up is hard to do!!

I have a small(large to some people) addiction to stuff.  Books, décor, craft supplies, old cards, clothes, etc etc!!  I do throw stuff out but I guess not enough cause damn I have a lot of shit right now that I don't need.  It has got to go...like now!!

So we just bought a new house and my goal was to try and have a garage sale before moving but that was a big epic fail lol!!  Between watching 3 kids, cooking, cleaning and packing to move it was next to impossible to go through everything and organize it into a garage sale...so we moved it all to the new house last week and is currently taking up half the garage.  On the plus side I found out last week that the city wide garage sale is Oct 5th so that gives me a week to get ready for one...or not cause I just found out Paul is working the next 7 days straight so no go on the garage sale!  Goodwill here we come!

On the plus side of me saving some stuff, I do have my cabbage patch dolls and some barbies from when I was little(that would make them 25yrs old or so) for my kids to play with!!  But my pride and joy is my He-man and She-ra doll!  Not in perfect condition but they were my favorite cartoons and can't wait for Kaden to be old enough to play with them.

Now just to say goodbye to the shit I don't really need and get the garage emptied out by the end of October...new goal is to be able to park both cars in the garage this winter! Fingers crossed and wish me luck!!

Home Sweet Home or as the kids call it...The Pool House!!

We bought a house...our very own Home Sweet Home!  So excited and a little nervous all mixed into one.
Finally, after making an offer on July 5th, we closed Sept 12th!!  Buying a house is a long, drawn out process(at least for us) and I didn't like it one bit.  The reward at the end was however wonderful. We have a house, a room for each kid and bonus...it has a pool!!

The house is pretty much move in ready, rooms all painted(although not my favorite colors but livable), a brand new remodeled kitchen, a finished basement so Paul can finally put his pool table back up and a pool to boot!!  Living in Kansas though we only got to use the pool a couple of times before it started cooling down.  However this is Kansas and the weather has been pretty crazy in the midwest the last few years so who knows, we could be swimming in December!!

Now that things have finally slowed down(its been a little busy for me lately), maybe I'll finally get caught up with my blogging!  Thanks for the support!!

First Day of Kindergarten

So I'm a few days behind posting this since Rylan started kindergarten last Thursday but I've been a little busy trying to keep Lilly happy and Kaden from crying.  Overall it all went good...

Last Wednesday was meet the teacher so we went up to the school and Rylan got to meet his teacher and see where his classroom was going to be.  He had his backpack that night full of all his supplies so he put all that away, found his backpack hook, then his spot to sit where he proceeded to sit down.  He thought he was going to school that night.  It was so cute, but we explained it was just to meet his teacher and we had to go home and get a good nights rest.

Thursday morning came, we got up and took a bath, ate some breakfast and got dressed.  We let him pick his clothes for the day so not everything matched just perfect but he was happy and that's what mattered!!  We then all loaded up in the car to see him off to his first day.

Once we got there, he lead the way to his classroom.  Pretty smart kid for remembering the way after only one visit!  We walked in and he hung up his backpack and sat down.  He seemed a little nervous for just a split second then put a smile on his face for the camera.
He's now gone for 4 days and seems to be adjusting to it pretty good.  He's in all day everyday kindergarten which from preschool is a huge difference.  Lilly seems to be having the harder time adjusting since they are so close in age.  She's not sure what to do without him around but preschool starts next week so hopefully that will help her.  As for Kaden, he's teething so not much I can do there.  Living the life of happy one minute, screaming the next children!!

Baby poop...its a surprise every day!!

So Kaden, who turns 6 months tomorrow, has been eating cereal and food for a month now.  So far he loves rice cereal, cantaloupe, strawberries, and avocado but spits out sweet potatoes and carrots.  I'm still trying the carrots though since we just tried those for the first time last night.  Fingers crossed that he'll like at least some veggies.  I'm sure my mother is laughing though since I was such a picky eater!!

I'm making my own baby food since its so easy and so much cheaper.  I think its nuts how much baby stuff in general cost.  Luckily I've found lots of recipes for baby food, and some great charts on when to start feeding them what.  Click here for great ideas!!

Since feeding Kaden something other than breast milk the poop has changed...for better and for worse!!  It's a surprise everyday-like today, kinda mustard colored and really soft.  The other day it was a little more solid and brown.  He still only poops every couple of days, which is not unusual with breastfed babies, but I'm guessing the more he eats food then the more often he will start to poop.  Gee I can't wait!!  It's been nice only having to clean a poopy diaper every few days.  Plus his poop doesn't stink that bad.  Kinda have to be pretty close to even know he has a poopy diaper.  Not so much the case with his gas.  The kid could clear a room with that gassy ass!!  Lord love him though cause no matter how smelly his gas/poop is, he sure is darn cute!!

Carousel, Funnel cake, and Face Paint Oh My!!!!

So it's that time of year for the county fair...and it was a blast!!  The kids were more into the rides this year than the animals(unlike last year) but it was fun to watch them on the rides and it brought back lots of memories from my childhood.

When we arrived we ate first cause Paul and I were starving.  The kids however just wanted to go straight to the rides so we tried to get them to eat as best as possible but they are kids at a fair so needless to say they didn't eat much!

After a few rides we walked around some of the animals.  We got to see some huge pigs, cows, chickens and rabbits.  I'm pretty sure I saw the biggest rabbit I've ever seen too.  He had to be at least 20lbs!  And note to self, next year plan ahead so we can buy a cow...they were cheap!  As much beef as we eat it would be so much cheaper that way!!

The kids got there face painted...

Then it was off to my favorite part...Funnel Cake!!  The thought of getting one had my mouth watering.  It had been so long since I've had one.  It definitely lived up to the memories of the last one I had(which I'm sure was in my teens, early 20s at the latest).

Overall we all had a great night!!  Unfortunately we are only able to go the one night do to Paul's work schedule this week.  But we'll survive because in 3 days it's off to the farm for some camping(the kids first time), 4-wheeling, and family time!!

Gotta love those door to door salesmen

So last Friday a Kirby dealer stopped by wanting to do a demo shampooing our carpets, which is fine for me cause with 3 kids and a dog, it needed it really bad.  Paul was getting ready to leave for work so Friday didn't really work for us and we told him up front we didn't want to buy one right now since we are trying to buy a house.  However, the man was persistent in showing us and said he could come back Monday(today).

So he actually showed back up today around noon and its now 2:15 and he's still cleaning.  We repeatedly told him we weren't interested today but he cleaned anyway.  He dropped the price a few times, and still a no go from us, but at least we have clean carpet now.  I would love to have one, they are awesome especially with kids and pets!  Just not currently in the budget!!  $1200 eeks!!

And at what point if you were a door to door salesman would you give up if you knew the person was not going to purchase.  I don't think I could try to sell something with that kind of price tag, take 2 1/2hrs to demo it for someone not to purchase!

He did however motivate me to do a deep clean of the house before we leave on vacation in a week!!

My ass got lazy

This was Paul's weekend to work and its my last night alone(until Thursday) and realized I didn't do a damn thing this weekend.  I mean I did...I think...but it doesn't feel that way!!

I mean I did some laundry(I'll finish the rest tomorrow), I cooked dinner all 3 nights(if pre-made freezer meals and leftovers count), and I picked up the house.  I played with our 4 1/2 month old(the other 2 are at their moms this week), took the dog on some walks and made a grocery list for homemade baby food prep!!  Even with this list I feel like I didn't do enough, even though I was tired at the end of every day.

You see, my boyfriend(aka, the perfect man, even when he drives me nuts) works his butt off so I can stay home with our son and his other 2 kids when we have them.  I love being a stay at home mom, and I wouldn't change it for the world.  I just feel like he does it all sometimes and I sit around twirling my thumbs.

After last week I feel like I needed a weekend off, and now that tomorrow is Tuesday I feel like I have a whole new list of things to get started on.  Even writing this makes me feel a little better, like I didn't waste the WHOLE weekend.

We have 2 weeks until our vacation to Minnesota,  then schools starts when we get back.  We are also trying to buy a house.  It's gonna be a busy month so I guess it's ok if I take a step back every once in a while and feel lazy(as long as I don't sit long enough to get a layer of dust on me).

So now that my whining is over(part of why I started a blog, like an online diary) I'm going to pull up my big girl panties and realize that I do what I do because it makes Paul happy(coming home to a cooked meal and a clean house) and I actually love doing it.  Shocker I know, and for all those friends reading this and laughing, yes I became a domestic goddess and I love it so stuff it!!

Thank you babe for loving me for me and letting me be a mommy!!

Party Like You're Famous-Guest Post By Arianna

Party Like You’re Famous!

Only a tiny percentage of us will ever know what it’s like to be famous: riding to movie premieres in limousines, taking private jets to tropical locales, basking in the glow of adoring fans. However, you can always pretend, from time to time, as though you’re a major star.

My girlfriends and I were lounging by the pool the other day when this very subject came up. As we started conversing, eventually more and more excitedly, we realized that we really could stage our own celebrity-inspired events. If you’re looking for inspiration, check out these ideas!

Celebrity summer: Private, Exotic Vacation Spot
Can you imagine owning your own private island? Island ownership must represent the peak of celebrity life! Johnny Depp and Julia Roberts are proud owners of exclusive locales surrounded by turquoise waters. Celebs can gather friends, charter a private jet and head out for their own paparazzi free vacation! When throwing a party here, you definitely wouldn’t have to worry about waking the neighbors!

Real-life summer: Secret Local Destination
On second thought, you don’t need your own island to have an outdoor blast. All you and your family need are swimsuits, snorkel gear, and sand buckets. Gather those items and head over to the nearest beach, lake, or water park. Being with your family, splashing around, soaking up the sun -- those activities can be just as enjoyable as anything Leonardo DiCaprio does on his island. Plus, if you arrive at this destination during an off time, like early on a weekday morning, it may be sparsely attended giving that private property feel!

Celebrity summer: Teen Choice Awards
The Teen Choice Awards are the Oscars for the younger crowd! Teenagers vote for winners in such categories as “Male Hottie.” And after this annual summertime show, the parties’ rage- celebrities get to exhibit their youthful sides, no matter their ages. Believe it or not, tickets to these after parties can cost up to $2,400!

Real-life summer: Celebrate the Teen Choice Awards at Home

Invite friends and family over to watch the Teen Choice Awards on a rented projector! Then throw a “celebrity” party of your own. Set up a red carpet and a fun backdrop as a photo booth! Help pass the time during commercial Serve mini appetizers and desserts to munch on while talk you cheer (and boo) for your favorite celebrities!

Celebrity summer: Hollywood Luau
Hollywood stars have always loved Hawaii: Elvis Presley, George Clooney, Adam Sandler, and many others have shot movies there. And they sometimes celebrate that by bringing Hawaii to them! For example, Extra TV hosts Maria Manounos’s recent 35th birthday party was an elaborate luau complete with surfboards, leis, and wild island creatures such as boa constrictors! Guests toasted at midnight with a sponsored drink by Patron Tequila!

Real-life summer: Exotic Backyard Party
Celebrate your birthday, or another occasion, by throwing an exotic backyard event! It could be a luau, or it could be a party themed to a different culture entirely, such as a Moroccan or Grecian party. Make your guests feel as though they’ve traveled thousands of miles by incorporating international dishes and decorations such as colorful vases and lanterns!

Whirlwind of a weekend

OK...finally have a breather!!  Between out of town guests, a teething baby, 2 more kids and a boyfriend, things have been a little busy.  Don't get me wrong, I love(d) every minute of it but sometimes finding time to sit down and type is a little hard.

Rewind to last Thursday, Paul's 2 sisters(Rosemary and MaryAnne) came to visit for a few days.  They left home Thursday morning from Minnesota and arrived around 5pm.  Since everyone was hungry and Paul was working that night we piled into my car and went to Chipotle then to my moms church.  They were having a huge rummage sale Thurs-Sat and I wanted to check it out.  I did find some good Disney classics for the kiddos and some clothes for all 3!  His sisters also found a few good deals(one of those being Pictionary).

On Friday morning Paul picked up the kids from their moms on his way home from work.  They were a little shy with their aunts at first but warmed up after a while.  We piled into 2 cars that morning and went to the kids last day of swim lessons(click here for that post), then came home and got the slipping slide out!

After that we came inside to make some dinner before Paul went to work.  Made a new Pork Chop recipe which was pretty good, or so I thought, and also made some Cinnamon rolls.  Now, the cinnamon roll recipe is Paul's moms, so of course I tried my best to get them right.  The first batch didn't turn out(my oven cooks a little hot I guess and they burnt) but the second batch was pretty good.  Best part was I made the dough in the bread machine so that saved on so much time!!

Saturday was a lazy hang out at home day.  We got the slipping slide out again and grilled some hamburgers and hotdogs.  Afterwards we went up to the park(hoping to wear the kids out a little more)then home for a quick movie then off to bed!!

After the kids went to sleep, out came a game of Pictionary...and that was pretty interesting!! Let's just say I suck at drawing and rolling a dice(kept getting 1's) but at least I didn't draw this...

That is a picture of a stick figure tumbling and a pipe with weed, tumble weed was the word(s)!!  That one had us laughing for a while.  Rosemary's husband was back in Minnesota so we facetimed him for part of the game so we could join in...

This is how Mark called...a little scary and not sure I really wanted to answer but I did and we all had many more laughs throughout the game!!

On Sunday the girls went home and we had another lazy day recovering  from our visitor's.  It was a fun few days and today Paul has to go back to work.  I don't like these days but I know he has to go.  Only a few more weeks and then we get to see all of them in Minnesota for our next adventure.

Come back tomorrow to check out the guest post by Arianna-Party Like You're Famous

Dive Dive Dive!!!

So Friday was the last day of swimming lessons and although they did not pass they improved so much.  From the first day of class 2 weeks ago they wouldn't even put their head completely under the water...now Rylan will sit on the bottom of the pool.  I'm so happy that they are getting more comfortable with the water(esp since we are trying to buy a house that has one), I love swimming so I don't want them to have any fear of it either.

Since it was the last day of lessons it was a day of play so they got to bring life jackets with them and went off the diving board.  Well, more like helped off the diving board!!  Lilly went first, did great but I think was a little scared so she didn't go again.  Rylan went next, did great also and then went a few more times.

We also had some out of town guests so they came along to watch the kids swim.  Paul's 2 sisters Rosemary and MaryAnne, and then Cecilia(MaryAnne's little girl) all piled into the car with me and we went to the pool.  Cecilia wore her swimming suit and the pool said since she was under 2 she could play in the pool also.

Since summer is far from over...hopefully they will remember what they have learned and we can practice then maybe next year they can move on to the next level.

WWE Neighbor Smackdown

So I'm usually a nice person, even if someone else isn't so nice but the minute someone drags my family(esp the kids) into it...the b#*ch is going down!!

Tonight, like most nights we took Angel(our dog) for a walk.  We did have a few extra peeps joining in the walk tonight since we have some out of town guests visiting(another story for another day).  I was the first to get back to the front door and as I was walking up the little(7 & 8yr old) girls next door said hi, then proceeded to tell me that Bonnie(their dads live in girlfriend) said our kids are bad(not totally sure on this word since the other girl started telling her sister to be quiet) but needless to say if it wasn't something bad about our kids then the one wouldn't have tried to stop the other from talking.  First, why in the world would you tell your kids that, they repeat everything! Second, look in the mirror first before saying anything about my family and if after looking in the mirror you still have something to say then say it to my face.  Ugh!!

This is not the first time we've had issues with Bonnie.  The part I really don't understand is how immature Bonnie has been acting the last few weeks yet complains about her immature boyfriend constantly.  Rather than b#*ching about our kids maybe she should be more concerned about what's going on in her own household first cause I know first hand it's worse there than here!!

Sorry for venting but my options were limited...either talking about it for a little bit on here or punching her in the face!!  I figured this was the cheaper of the two plus I really didn't want to go to jail tonight, cause you know of the whole breastfeeding thing!!  My son would starve! :)

4th of July and...a ring??

So in the past this would have been recovery day but now having a breastfeeding baby and 2 other kids that like to get up early we kept the Independence Day celebrating to a minimum.  To me that means good food, good family/friends, and a good fireworks show!  We went to my dads to celebrate, they have an awesome view on their back deck that you can see fireworks going off in so many directions.

But first let me back up and tell you about the day leading up to the awesome night...Paul's been on nights so he got home around 8am and crashed.  Lilly had woken me up around 630am so by 10 she was getting crabby.  Rylan woke up around 8am and was fine until lunch time.  It took him 2hrs to eat lunch...it was like pulling teeth to get him to eat!!  I was trying to keep the kids as quiet as possible so that they wouldn't wake Paul up...well he never woke up but they were not quiet!!  They fought, they wouldn't eat, they wouldn't listen...I wanted to pull my hair out.  On top of that, the baby is teething so he is also crabby right now.  I couldn't wait for 4pm to get there so Paul would be awake to help.  Finally around 3pm the kids shaped up a little which gave me a chance to breathe before getting them all ready to go to my dads.
Now the other day we made our own shirts to wear for the 4th of July, and they were excited to make them but when it came time to actually wear them Lilly didn't want too.  She just wanted to put hers in the trash.  We finally came to an understanding(she got to bring an extra outfit to change into, which she never did) and everyone finally got dressed.  I can't believe I've turned into one of those moms that makes her family wear matching shirts for a holiday...but I think we all look pretty cute together
I also brought the dessert this year...and being a pinoholic I looked and looked until I found something yummy yet easy to make since my day wasn't going that great.  I made brownies in my mini muffin pan, and used raspberries, strawberries, blueberries and big marsh mellows to make dessert kabobs.  They were delicious!!!

So even though my day started out a little shaky it end great.

Now on to the day after...started out normal, kids up around 8.  Cartoons turned on, cereal for breakfast, took the dog for a walk...then Paul went out to clean the garage.  The kids decided to play outside so that gave me a chance to pick up the house a little(and blog).  After an hour or so outside Paul walks in and says he needs my help with something.  I'm on the ground cleaning up play-doh not really paying close attention to him.  He finally says it will only take a minute and that he really only needs my finger.  I lift my right hand and he laughs and says no your other hand.  He has a zip tie in his hand and puts it on my ring finger...I suppose that's a step in the right direction.  Maybe a promise for an engagement ring, only he knows lol.  I did glam it up a bit after he went back outside with some glitter polish.  Diamond or no diamond I know he loves me and that's what really counts!!
So that is the start to my weekend, wonder if anything else interesting(wink, wink) will happen.  I hope everyone had a great Independence day and have a great weekend...I know I will!!

Summer time...swimming and painting

So now that summer has been going strong for a month now...the kids started their swim lessons this week.  Now, I did not go to any of their lessons last year but from I've been told they did not enjoy them at all.  They barely participated and therefore had to repeat this year( but they were 3 and 4 last year).  Not the case this year...I'm pretty sure they will pass with flying colors...
They still take a little warming up to get their faces in the water if they are asked to blow bubbles but don't seem to mind getting their faces wet if they are jumping in.  Oh how the minds of a 4 and 5(almost) work.

Paul and I sure enjoyed watching them, and we love that they are loving it.  We both love the water so we want them too also.  I'm not so sure about Kaden though, I'm thinking he got a little bored waiting for his brother and sister to be done, or he was jealous that he couldn't go in.

On another note, I have a few crafts projects that I want to do with the kiddos this summer(Thank You Pinterest) so last night we started one for the 4th of July.  Easy Peasy...Fabric paint and shirts is all we needed.  We made flags on the shirts using our handprint for the blue and our fingers for the red strips.

Now...I made one for Kaden too using his hand.  I don't have any pics of that cause Paul was at work.  Note to self, make sure both parents(or at least another adult) is present to help.  He wouldn't open his hand(he is only 4 months) so I tried to pry his little fingers open for him.  We ended up getting paint over both my hands, his hands, his chest, his legs, my arm and my shirt(Sorry Paul I need to go shopping now :) love you!) so straight to the bathtub he went.  You can't really tell its his hand but that's the fun of it...its a one of a kind Kaden original.  I did however make the strips for him cause I was not about to get paint all over him again.  Tonight Paul and I made ours so tomorrow we will be wearing them(And yes I'm going to be one of those crazy moms that wants her family to match for the holiday) to my dads for the 4th of July celebration.

Now let the summer fun continue...

A sad day...but happy memories

Today I say goodbye to one of my best friends...my grandma!!  She will forever be missed but not forgotten.  She's been there for me through everything good and bad and always supported me no matter what smart or stupid decisions I've made.  She was my rock and forever will be a part of me.

She has been through hell and back...won against breast cancer, falling and breaking her hip, and a horrible car accident.  She always came out on top, letting nothing get in her way.  She never backed down for what she believed in.
She had awesome fashion sense...lol, not really but only she could get away with a floral top and leopard print pants.  God love her, she cracked me up with every conversation.

I was her youngest grandchild and I always told her she wasn't ever allowed to leave me until I had my own child and she got to meet and hold them.  Well in February this year I had my first son Kaden!!  While I was pregnant she fell(once again) and we had to move her into a nursing home.  She never fully recovered this time but held on long enough to meet her last great grandchild.

Grandma lived a wonderful 93 years and I'm so happy that I got to spend 33 of those years with her.  I will miss you forever and you will forever be in my heart.

I love you,
Your Granddaughter

Rocked that baby bump!!

So as I look at my baby bump pictures reminiscing...kinda makes me want another baby.  LOL just kidding.  I mean I do but I'm enjoying my baby boy right now.  Maybe I'll give him a younger sibling next year!  For now he has 2 older siblings to play with.  To me my bump grew slowly at the beginning then just exploded at the end.
I loved that I was able to wear my regular clothes up to my 8th month.  I carried so high that all my pants(thank god its the low on your hip era) were able to still button shut.  And of course sweats stretch so that I was a plus.

I have a friend who is a photographer(check out her page here...Fish Kiss Photo) and so at 34 weeks we did maternity pictures.  LOVED them!!!
Finally my due date came and went.  Everyone...and I mean everyone thought I would go early cause I was so big, little did we know how big my son was.  He knew how big he was and therefore didn't want to try and come out.

The night before I went in to be induced...looking huge...
After labor for 12 hours, pushing for 3 hours...he still wouldn't come out so C-section it was.  And no wonder, damn kid was 10lbs 5oz.  No one had a clue, my doctor thought he would be about 8 1/2lbs.  SURPRISE!!  I gained 30-35lbs, hell I had lost 2/3rds of my weight(baby and water) by the time I got to go home.

There are days I miss it and then there are times that I love that I don't hurt.  My back killed...which is no wonder with his size.  Guessing he was on a nerve that last few months.  Some days I couldn't even stand up straight.  But I would go though it all again!!

Time flies...baby boy is 4months old!!

All I can say is WOW...time flies!!  I feels like yesterday that Kaden was born and here it is already 4 months later.  He's growing like a damn weed which is wonderful and sad all at the same time.  I want him to stay the way he is cause he's just so darn cute but at the same time I can't wait to see who he becomes.  His personality it starting to really show in his expressions and noises that he makes.

One of my favorite things now is when he giggles...I mean could the kid get any cuter.  I could do with a little less drool but in the end I don't really mind, I just know that now at the end of the day I'll have dry drool spots on my clothes.  Part of being a mom I guess!!

Before I know it he'll be turning 1, then going to kindergarten and graduating high school.  Not sure if I'm ready for all that...but I'll enjoy all the days leading up to it.  Oh the stories to come...

Oatmeal raisin cookies...yumminess

Sorry it's been a while.  I was doing so good with making a cookie every week but the first weekend in June we went to Minnesota and I made 4 different batches of cookies to take and therefore got a little burnt out on baking...not to mention we had plenty of cookies left over to eat.  So I finally got back on the band wagon and here's this weeks cookie...

Happy 1st Anniversary Paul!!

First and foremost...I LOVE YOU!!
Over the last year my love has grown for you more and more with each passing day.

Everyday I've spent with you over this past year I've learned more and more about you.  I love you, your kids, and your family.  I feel like I've learned so much about love and life from you.  I'm the luckiest girl in the world to have someone like you to share the rest of my life with.  You truly are the love of my life.

Wet and poopy...that's my morning!!

So this morning I woke up to a wet bed, my wonderful son's diaper had leaked cause it was so full.  Did I change the sheets so Paul had cleans ones to sleep on when he got home, a big fat NO!!  I put a towel over it and figured I'd wash them later.  I'm such a thoughtful girlfriend right??

The morning proceeded on, Paul got home, we chatted for a bit before he went to bed, I drank some coffee and was just relaxing a little bit before starting my day!  My "sister in law" Rosemary called to chat for a bit and that's when I became a bad mother.  Not really but I did feel a little bad for totally ignoring my sons real problem.

You see, he had a poopy diaper(who knows for how long cause his sh*t don't stink, true story!  His gas on the other hand could clear a room!!).  He had fallen asleep while eating so I stuck him in his bouncer but he woke up.  Rosemary called I started talking to her, finally picked him back up thinking maybe he was still hungry since he hadn't finished earlier but he wouldn't latch back on.  Meanwhile still talking on the phone with a few "your oks" in between sentences.  He won't sleep, he won't eat, his diaper didn't look that full from the front so I finally sat him up on my lap so he could see the tv.  That's when I saw it, the darker shade of color peaking through the backside of his diaper. Now you're probably wondering why I didn't think this could have been a possibility earlier, but he had just pooped yesterday.  My son only poops every 4-5 days, god love him!!  He's breastfed so he doesn't have as much waste going through him.  I immediately stood up, said "sh*t", Rosemary asked what was wrong, I responded "it's sh*t, I have to go I'll call you right back he has a dirty diaper".

But it doesn't stop there, my son, even if he is only 16weeks, still likes to grab his penis whenever his diaper is off.  Typical boy, but this time was not the time for him to do it.  The poop had come up the front side too so when he grabbed himself he got poop all over his fingers.  Then he was smiling at me and cooing and his hand went straight to his head.  Some days I think he's going to be the death of me but I clean him up and move on.  It's just sh*t, not the end of the world!!

Randomness of the day...

1.  Putting a 100piece Disney puzzle together by myself, well started out putting 2 others together with Paul and the kids but by the third they were done.  Guess I wasn't cause I wanted to see the damn pic and I liked it!!

2. Walking in on a conversation that my dad and boyfriend were having...
Dad-"so they say its good to massage breasts cause it helps prevent breast cancer"
Paul-"see Ingrid, I should massage yours more"
     I roll my eyes
Paul-"your dad is pretty much giving me permission to play anytime"
     I roll my eyes again
     Dad-"yep, pretty much true"

3. My 3 1/2 month old attempting to feed from my stepmom, as in latching to her shirt and leaving a small wet spot!  That's my boy, he's a boobie man like his daddy!!

4. Lilly walking with a cup of kool aid, spills some on her foot, sits on the ground and licks her toes, then precedes to take off her flip flop and lick it to...and the whole time I just sat there staring with a smile on my face and shaking my head!!  Oh the life of a 4 year!!

5. Neighbor's outside grilling some t-bones tells Paul they are his Fathers Day t-bones, Paul responds Ingrid's going to get her t-bone tonight!!  And once again I roll my eyes!!

Overall today was a great day spent with great people(my dad, stepmom, sister, Paul and the kids) in honor of celebrating Fathers Day!!  Many great memories and lots and lots of laughs!!

Happy Father's Day!!

Over this past year I've watched you with Rylan and Lilly and I see the joy they have in their eyes every time you are around.  They love spending time with you, whether its wrestling around or reading.  I also love that you take time to spend with them individually so that they each feel special.
In February we added another child to the bunch and I've seen your love grow to include a new baby but never lessen for the first 2.  I could not ask for a better partner to raise a family with.  You are a true role model to all 3 kids.  It makes me so happy to know you love being a father just as much as I love being a mother.
So that being said, I want to wish a Happy Father's Day to a wonderful Daddy and to all the other wonderful dads out there!!
Love,
Ingrid

Lilly's 4th Birthday Extravaganza

So today started early...around 630am.  Both kids were up earlier than normal(maybe excited for the party) but both needed to sleep a little more(hence at nap around 11am).  Paul got up with them which allowed me to sleep for another hour or so before I got up.  It was a big day today, with lots to get done before 3pm!!

Paul prepped his ribs(did I mention he's awesome) for Father's Day tomorrow and let me tell you they smell so delicious.  I almost had him smoke them today instead but all kids just wouldn't appreciate them the way my parents and ourselves will tomorrow!

I started on the cake, we'll the icing part!  I was smart enough to bake it yesterday so that saved time this morning.  Thank god cause it was so humid(even with the AC on) that the damn icing wouldn't stick to the cake.  Shh, don't tell anyone but I used my fingers to apply most of the icing.  For some reason it stuck that way!!  (I did wash my hands good first) Its been a year since I've made a cake, not my best but not to shabby!!

Another piece of the party was the decor, but lucky for me I was able to use the lanterns I made for her party last year.  So this year all I had to make was the tissue paper pom poms(I'll post a link to those later, but thank you Martha Stewart!!)

As time was getting closer to 3, I started to panick a little.  I still needed to finish the cake then take a shower.  Cake done, shower go...got out and finished putting my hair up at 2:58!!  Not too shabby!! Our guests arrived and the kids enjoyed playing outside for a while.  They were all begging to have cake so I brought it outside but a storm rolled in and the candles wouldn't stay lit so back inside we went!

We all sang happy birthday, then Lilly opened her presents...then I was done!  My energy gone...so now it's only 7pm and I'm laying in bed on a Saturday night blogging before going to sleep to start another long day tomorrow.

So until then Zzzzzzzz
